The 2006 STREAK

Sunday, September 10, 2006 * 7:30 a.m. Rain or Shine.
Event site and staging: BRICKTOWN, Oklahoma City The corner of Reno & Styles Avenue, east of the SBC Bricktown Ballpark & south of Coca-Cola Event Center
This year the OBS Streak will offer 100 mile, 100 k, 30 and 15 mile routes. All route distances are approximate. All routes will be clearly marked. The “Brick Wall” and entrance to the 100 mile route will close at 11:00. The course will close at 3:30. The 30 mi, 100 km (62 mi) and 100 mi routes are significantly “hilly”.
THIS IS NOT A SANCTIONED RACE. The 100 mile, 100k, and 30 mile routes will be timed for your information only. The non-timed 15 mile Family Fun Ride will use the new Oklahoma City River Trails. Maps for all routes are available at www.obsstreak.com and will be available at registration.
Multiple rest stops will be located on the routes, with a restroom at each stop. Drinks and snack foods will be available. Sag support will be provided on 100 mile, 100K, and 30 mile routes.
T-shirts for the first 700 registered entries. $25 per person ($30 for tandem teams) if received by 09/01/2006 $28 per person ($33 for tandem teams) after 09/01/2006
12 years and younger are free (no t-shirt), but must be accompanied by an adult and must have entry/waiver form signed by an adult.
No rider allowed without signed entry/waiver form.
All riders must wear a protective helmet. Traffic control will be provided for key points, but all traffic laws must be obeyed. All routes will be open to motor vehicles. Please no personal support vehicles.
Packets can be picked up on the day of the event at the event site:
100 mile and 100K events between 6:00 am and 7:00 am
30 mile and Family Fun Ride between 6:00 am and 8:15 am
Early pick-up will be at Oklahoma Community Health Services (OCHS), 1025 Straka Terrace (south of I-240 off of Western), OKC on Saturday, Sept. 9, between 10:00 am and 3:00 pm. OCHS will provide a cookout from 11:00 am to 1:30 pm.

(OCHS) The mission of Oklahoma Community Health Services is to provide high quality, accessible, cost effective health, dental and community services to those in need. OCHS serves low-income families, the uninsured and many susceptible and high risk populations such as: poor women and children, people living in remote rural communities, the homeless, the elderly, migrant and seasonal farmworkers.
All riders are eligible for the many prizes donated by our sponsors. A random drawing will be held while the riders are out on the routes. Results will be posted on a prize board at the finish area. Be sure to check the prize board upon your return.
Awards will be given for the 100 mile, 100km, and 30 mile male & female riders finishing 1st.
In order to ensure the quality of the event and safety of our riders, registration will be limited to the first 1,000 riders.
