OBS Streak 2008 • September 7 • Mitch Park, Edmond, Oklahoma

By all accounts the 2007 OBS Streak bicycle tour was an overwhelming success. Over 600 cyclists were greeted by overcast (but dry) conditions early on a Sunday morning in September. Riders cruised the back roads of Oklahoma and Logan counties for 10, 25, 40 or 63 miles before returning to Mitch Park in Edmond to refuel and listen to live bluegrass music.

The Oklahoma Bicycle Society would like to thank you for your support. With your help we were able to continue the “Streak tradition” as one of the region’s premier cycling events. We were also pleased to present donations and event proceeds totaling $8000 to our beneficiary, White Fields home for boys.

Mary Jones, Executive Director of White Fields, said “White Fields was honored to be the beneficiary of the 2007 OBS Streak. The event’s generous sponsors and donors helped raise funds to continue the development and implementation of our art and music therapy program. This vital program will help to improve our residents’ quality of life and assist in their recovery from trauma. The Oklahoma Bicycle Society was a joy to work with, and our boys had so much fun interacting with the riders at our rest stop. Thank you for the support and helping ensure White Fields is a place to call home.”

The OBS Streak which was held in September from Mitch Park in Edmond was a wonderful event. Our participation as a sponsor was very satisfying.
